This should theoretically be possible. FFMPEG supports reading from stdin, and if I can figure out where the data lives on the RTMP connection object I should be able to pipe it directly into FFMPEG.

I am giving up. I am genuinely convinced that it would be easier to write my own RTMP library from scratch.
